Originally from Nottingham, Joseph Morley trained in both classical and jazz piano before moving to London to pursue a career as pianist, keyboard player and Musical Director in all forms of commercial and popular music. Joseph has worked in concert with artistes including Lulu, Lenny Henry, Des O’Connor, Helen Shapiro and Shirley Bassey plus many West End musicals including Blood Brothers, Dirty Dancing, Saturday Night Fever, Mamma Mia, Les Miserables, We Will Rock You, Grease, Copacabana, Piaf and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
Joseph was Musical Director for a highly successfull production of Peter Pan starring the legendary David (The Hoff!) Hasselhoff – see picture below!
Joseph has also enjoyed being Musical Director for several pantomimes at many of the leading theatres in cities around the country including Wimbledon, Nottingham, Bristol, Plymouth, Woking, Richmond and Southend and featuring artistes including Ashley Banjo and Diversity, Joe Pasquale, Lee Mead, Ruthie Hensahall, Bobby Davro, Stacey Solomon, Chuckle Brothers, Britt Eckland, Sue Pollard, John Nettles and Michaela Strachan.
Throughout his career Joseph has also enjoyed playing solo piano for special occasions and private engagements. He has worked at prestigious venues including Claridges, The Dorchester, Champneys Tring, Sopwell House Herts, QE2 cruise liner plus smaller boutique restaurants and private houses in and around London.
Based in Finchley London N3 for many years, hence the name Pianist North London, however, Joseph has recently moved to Bourne End Bucks. Joseph is happy to consider engagements throughout London, UK and overseas.
